So, I won an award at work--I was named the "Catch the Spirit" award winner for June. Despite Shaun's many cheerleading-reference jokes (most are about spirit fingers), I am very excited about winning. I'm not really sure why I am so excited, but here I am hoping I win the District award and get sent to a conference with managers and execs. All for a part-time sales job that was only supposed to last through the holidays. Go figure...

Oh and I also got a pen!

From the Office of Misleading Charts:

Shaun snapped this outside a California Representative's office in the Cannon Building in DC. Apparently, $665 is half of $736 and only 1/7 of $1176.

By the way, this is by no means a political statement on my part in support of Medicare Part D, the administration's poor attempt at reform to help seniors pay for drugs which has meant lots of headaches and loads of paperwork for said seniors (but this is). It is too bad that in trying to make a valid point, you loose all creditability through your reporting methods.

It is over. Kindergarten graduation was yesterday--complete with singing, recitation of poems, and lots of parents with cameras. Emma won the citizenship medal for her class (citizenship is a big theme at our school) as well as the priviledge of becoming a first grader. I think it is all going a little too quickly!
